Epanoe Nigeria Limited is an independent Geophysical and Geotechnical surveying company. It was registered in 1994 and started operations as an Environmental mangrove specie regeneration company supporting Shell P.D.C, Elf and Chevron Nigeria Limited. In 1996, it entered into an alliance with two other companies to form Multinational Geosurveys Limited and carried out most of the land, swamp and near shore surveys for Shell P.D.C and Chevron Nigeria Limited. In 2003, the alliance broke down and Epanoe was re-engineered in 2005 as a Geophysical and Geotechnical surveying company.

Since the re-engineering, Epanoe has rapidly grown and established itself as one of the leading offshore surveying and positioning companies in Nigeria and more significantly, it has gained recognition as the leading indigenous offshore Geotechnical survey company.
Epanoe Nigeria Limited is registered with the Department of Petroleum Resources in Nigeria and with most of the major oil prospecting and producing companies in Nigeria – Shell Nigeria, Exxon Mobil, Chevron Nigeria and Elf petroleum in Nigeria.
In Year 2014, Epanoe was awarded three running contracts:
- Shell P.D.C Offshore Surveying in Shallow Marine environment
- SEPLAT Land Surveying Contract
- SPDC Offshore Geotechnical Services Contract
The company’s purpose is to provide survey and remote subsea systems technology services to the Nigerian and West African sub-region in the fields of oil and gas, marine telecommunications and hydrographic survey.
Our key personnel are all Nigerians and have extensive careers in reputable companies in Nigeria and in the North Sea. Epanoe is equipped to perform technically challenging projects where time and the environment are at their most challenging. The experience of the senior management and key offshore staff stretches back into the early eighties while working for Shell in Nigeria. This experience coupled with the desire of our bankers to support us; provides an excellent platform for delivering high quality services to our customers.
Epanoe has on its own developed Geotechnical expertise in soil boring operations to depths of 100m in the shallow marine areas of the Nigerian Niger Delta for Jack up penetration analyses and other studies. We have made great success in this stride.
There have been two significant non-financial indicators of our success.
- First, is that all of our major customers have awarded us repeat business.
- The second is that we have now begun to be awarded Contracts by direct recommendation of previous customers.
